Richard Hatcher has spent four decades inside the music industry — as a working musician, songwriter, and creative force — and his latest project answers a question he's been asking his whole career: what happens when you refuse to stop?
In the 1980s, Hatcher co-founded McQueen Street, a rock band that landed on EMI/SBK Records and scored two Billboard Top 30 hits. The machine worked. Then it didn't. The industry moved on, and he moved back to the craft.
For the past ten years, he's poured everything into Neon Falling — a 65-song original rock musical built around two female protagonists navigating an industry that chews up artists and calls it development. Think Almost Famous meets Alice in Wonderland. The music is raw, theatrical, and uncompromising — recorded with live musicians, theater-trained vocalists, and Grammy-winning collaborators.
